Nike SB – in line with skater culture has, for many years had a tight commemorative relationship with April 20th, also known as 420 – the stoner day of the year. Nike SB has quite consistently put out releases on this date with cool themed releases of 420 Dunk SBs.

2020 – Nike SB Dunk High 420
At the time of writing the lowest ask on StockX is $5553
Let’s start this off fresh with the latest news, the 4/20 Dunk set to release April 20th 2020 (Yes 4/20 on 4/20) which appears to be somewhat of a reverse Skunk (Released 10 years earlier – see below).
These new 420 High SB Dunks are rumoured to be limited to 420 pairs which would make this drop insanely hard to cop.
As of April 19th, we’re yet to see anything in Nike SNKRS on this release, likely confirming that it is either extremely limited (as rumoured) and probably will be a shock drop (maybe at 4:20pm?).
2020 – Nike SB Dunk High Strawberry Cough
These ‘Strawberry Cough’ Dunks (arguably less interesting than the 420 Skunks) have been circulating the internet for a couple months now leading up to the release and were initially rumoured to drop on 420, although this may be overrun and plans changed with the Reverse Skunks that should be dropping on April 20th.
2004 – Nike SB Dunk Low Green Hemp
At the time of writing the lowest ask on StockX is $4725
The Green Hemp dunk lows are one of the most sought after Dunks with insane resell prices since it must be difficult to get your hands on a deadstock pair of sneakers from 16 years ago.
This colorway dropped alongside the Blue and Red similar colorways, as a part of the ‘Hemp Pack’. These did not drop exactly on 4/20 like most of the others in this article, although it was in April of 2004 to be fair (close enough).
2019 – Nike SB Dunk High Dog Walker
At the time of writing the lowest ask on StockX is (funnily enough) $420
These Dunk High SBs were themed both for doglovers and stoners alike. The funky theme of these sneakers really stood out on their release in 2019 with additional fun added bonuses like a dog poop stain on the outsole, a bone hangtag with the name “Sparky” and a Nike SB branded red dog leash.
2010 – Nike Dunk SB High Skunk 420
At the time of writing the lowest ask on StockX is $1958
Regularly seen copped be people on Complex’s Sneaker Shopping, these have to be in the top 20 of sought after Dunks for collectors. Beside being in this specific theme, the Skunk Dunks are a classic in the way SBs stand out with different colorways. The overall fuzzy upper matches in both colors and textures of nappy buds.
2016 – Nike Dunk SB High Waffle
At the time of writing the lowest ask on StockX is $338
The SB Dunk High Pro ‘Waffle’ was not specifically released on 420, although it was released in April of 2016 and given the munchies theme and that time of the year it’s worth a notable mention.
This Dunk colorway, also referred to as ‘Chicken n Waffles’, is a clean cut match for a lot of fits, with the neutral beige upper and the gum outsole. The syrup on the translucent swoosh definitely gives it that extra pop!
2011 – Nike Dunk SB High Cheech & Chong
At the time of writing the lowest ask on StockX is $1087
The Cheech and Chong Dunks released in a small quantity of 1000 pairs in 2011, following the Skunk colorway. This 420 Dunk commemorates two of America’s favorite stoner celebrities.
Fun fact about this sneaker, you can remove the upper around the toebox to reveal some green suede themed to resemble that sticky-icky.
2018 – Nike SB Dunk Mid White Widow
At the time of writing the lowest ask on StockX is $397
2018 saw yet another 420 inspired Dunk, themed around the color and of course name of the well known White Widow strain. Featuring that nappy suede upper, this is a sure fire cop for the mid silhouette.
2016 – Nike Dunk SB Low 420
