The glow-in-the-dark Reebok Kamikaze II “Acid Rain” earned its nickname thanks to the rain of Seattle and its color-changing upper. Originally released in 1995, the Reebok Kamikaze II is one of Shawn Kemp’s signature models from Reebok. Kemp became known for his high-flying dunks as a competitor in the dunk contests during the 90s. Despite never winning the contest, Kemp and his sneakers are most remembered for his posterizing dunks as a member of the Seattle Supersonics. With Seattle’s notoriously wet and rainy weather, Kemp earned the nickname, The Reign Man.
