Also known as the "Knicks" GL3, the Ronnie Fieg x ASICS Gel-Lyte III "New York City" was released in early May, 2013 for a retail price of $145. Part of his first pop-up shop experience, RF donned the New York City GLIII in Knicks colors to reflect not only his passion for New York but also his passion for one of his favorite teams. By choosing a perforated pigskin suede toe box and nubuck overlays, Fieg created a GEL Lyte II that could be worn both during the harsh winter months of the Knicks season but also through the spring and summer while the basketball season winds-down.
